To Call It Home

A photography and multimedia project made with artists living in Iran and across the Iranian diaspora. It begins with the distance between the place a person remembers and the place they are standing in, and with what gets made while that distance is still open.
The work is not finished, and neither is what surrounds it. What enters the room beside it — a recording, a letter, a date — is decided with each artist, and only as far as they are willing to let it be seen.

Still without a name
A working title and a working description, standing in until the real ones are written. It begins the way the others do: with somebody in the middle of something, and with the part of it that has not been put to rest.
What is here now is only the shape of the page — the print high on one side, the writing low on the other, and room underneath for whatever the work turns out to need.
